We’re thrilled to launch The Kids Adventure Games™ throughout Canada. As parents and outdoor enthusiasts, We know how important it is to get kids outside and active. The Kids Adventure Games™ provide the perfect opportunity for kids to challenge themselves, work together, and have a blast.
Maria Burton, CEO and Race Director
For over 10 years, Maria was a sponsored professional world-class adventure racing athlete. Now, in addition to founding Kids Adventure Games Canadatm, Maria is the co-founder of North America’s Premier Adventure Race, Primal Quest; a 500+ mile, non-stop, multiport event — filmed and aired on Outside TV, ESPN and CBS.
When Maria isn’t working on the races, she is a mom and a wife. She strives every day to be inspired by being active in the outdoors and enjoy sharing life with her family and friends.
A post race party will be held after each event for all participants.
Award ceremony is held around 3:30 each race day where prizes are awarded to each age and category winner, in addition to prizes for a Sportsmanship Award, Team Spirit Award, and Environmental award
David Egbert, Chief Safety & Logistics Officer
As an MPT, David is a trusted rehabilitation clinician in the US and Canada, owning and operating a rehabilitation business in Ontario. As co-owner of Kids Adventure Games — Primal Quest David ensures an athlete-focused environment and comprehensive safety and adventure experience. David has a lifelong passion for outdoor endurance sports and has competed in many. He shares this deep interest with his wife Maria and celebrates their families’ unique heritage and love of exploration of the outdoors with his children.
Peter Hickey, Chief Marketing Officer
Skier, runner, mountain biker, backcountry camper, dog walker and all-round lover of being outdoors. Peter, is also an internationally awarded advertiser, and runs his own ad agency. A little “old school,” Peter is one of those parents who doesn’t just want to tell kids about his own childhood adventures, he wants them to create their own!
